Sometimes I think you’re like a hot coal

If I try to remove you from my life

I get burned,

And if I try to cover you up,

You just burn a deeper hole into my heart.

I can’t walk away with these scars.

You don’t have to take care of the flames

But will you at least sweep away the ashes?
